How to Set Up the AI Agent

The AI Agent in Teamfluence helps you automatically qualify leads by applying Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) criteria. Once set up, it can classify, rate, and prioritize leads, saving you time and ensuring your outreach targets the right prospects.

This guide walks you through how to set up your AI Agent and start using it effectively.

Define Your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)

The first step is telling the AI Agent what your ideal customer looks like. You can set it at your Lead Monitoring Settings. You’ll define both company criteria and persona criteria.

Company Criteria

  • Hard criteria (must-haves):

  • Soft criteria (nice-to-haves):

  • Exclusion criteria (These companies will be excluded from your ICP match, even if they meet other criteria. Examples include:):

Person Criteria

Specify the types of people you want to connect with inside those companies:

  • Persona characteristics (e.g., responsibilities, expertise, tenure in role, location)

  • Job titles (e.g. VP of Sales, Marketing Manager)

  • Departments ( e.g. Sales, Marketing, Operations)

  • Hierarchy (seniority level - e.g. Director-level and above)

Tip: Start with your top-performing customers as a reference for setting ICP criteria.

Configure Lead Classification and Rating

Once your ICP is set, the AI Agent will automatically score leads on a 1–5 scale, where 5 means a perfect match.

You can adjust the rating tolerance depending on how strict you want qualification to be:

  • Flexible → Includes leads rated 3–5

  • Balanced (recommended) → Includes leads rated 4–5

  • Strict → Includes only leads rated 5

Tip: Start with Balanced to balance lead quality and volume. And readjust as needed

Monitor and Adjust Your AI Agent

Once your AI Agent is active, new leads will automatically be classified as either a match or not a match.

  • During the first few days, it’s important to review how leads are being classified.

  • In Lead Monitoring, you’ll see the reasoning behind each AI decision (why a lead was matched or not).

  • Use this reasoning as a guide to fine-tune your ICP criteria — especially if you notice ideal leads that weren’t matched.

Tip: Revisit your setup weekly in the beginning. Small adjustments early on help the AI Agent become more precise over time.

Classify Matches as Prospects

Once you’re happy with your AI Agent setup, enable the option to classify matches as Prospects.

  • Every time the AI Agent finds a match, it will automatically classify the lead as Prospect and start enrichment. The ICP matches will also be synched to your CRM.

  • You’ll see these enriched details as well as full signals history in your Prospect Tracker, giving your sales team the most relevant and actionable information.

This step ensures that your pipeline isn’t just filled with qualified leads, but also with context-rich prospects ready for outreach.

Complement : Import your Target Accounts List

If you already have a list of target companies (e.g., an ABM list):

  1. Upload the list into Teamfluence.

  2. The AI Agent will automatically match relevant stakeholders inside those companies using your persona criteria.

  3. The system can trigger connection campaigns to those stakeholders.
