Short answer: HubSpot's own LinkedIn integrations show a contact's LinkedIn profile data (Sales Navigator) and comments and mentions on accounts you connect (Social tool). They don't show who viewed your team's LinkedIn profiles, who liked their posts, or who followed your company page. To get that into HubSpot you need a tool that collects LinkedIn engagement across your team, matches each person to a HubSpot contact, and updates the record every time they engage again. Teamfluence does this with a native HubSpot integration.

What does HubSpot's LinkedIn integration do?
HubSpot has three ways to connect LinkedIn. Each one solves a different problem.
1. LinkedIn Sales Navigator card. Shows a contact's LinkedIn job title, company, time in role, location and shared connections inside the HubSpot record. You can send InMails from it. It needs Sales Navigator Advanced Plus, each user connects it separately, and you can't import contacts from LinkedIn with it. (HubSpot: Connect HubSpot and LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
2. LinkedIn CRM Sync. A separate app that syncs contacts and companies with Sales Navigator lists and logs Sales Navigator activity in HubSpot. Also needs Advanced Plus. (HubSpot: LinkedIn CRM Sync)
3. HubSpot Social tool. Publishes posts and lets you reply to interactions. For LinkedIn it monitors comments on connected personal accounts, and comments and mentions on company pages. Likes, reposts and new followers aren't listed for LinkedIn. It needs Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise. (HubSpot: Review and reply to social interactions)
All three are useful. None of them tells you who is paying attention to your team.
What does HubSpot miss?
On a call last week, a buyer at a UK consultancy said it in one line: HubSpot is their source of truth, but it doesn't see LinkedIn likes, comments or profile views.
A buyer can look at three of your sales reps' LinkedIn profiles, like your CEO's post on Tuesday and follow your company page on Friday. In HubSpot, that person doesn't exist. Or they exist as a contact from 2023 with no activity, and nobody calls them.
The people who engage with your team on LinkedIn are the people who already know you. They answer outreach more often than a cold list does. They're also the hardest to see, because the engagement happens on your team's personal profiles, not on your website.
Which LinkedIn engagement can you get into HubSpot?
Teamfluence collects LinkedIn engagement from every team member's profile and your company page, in one workspace:
- Profile visits
- Likes and comments on your team's posts
- Likes and replies on their comments
- New connections
- Company page followers and visitors
- Engagement on LinkedIn ads, including thought leader ads
Impressions are left out on purpose. Someone scrolling past a post isn't a signal.
| LinkedIn signal | HubSpot Sales Navigator card | HubSpot Social tool | Teamfluence + HubSpot |
|---|---|---|---|
| Profile data (title, company, role) | Yes | No | Yes, on the contact record |
| Comment on a post | No | Yes, on connected accounts | Yes, on the contact record |
| Like on a team member's post | No | Not listed | Yes, on the contact record |
| Profile visit on a rep | No | No | Yes, on the contact record |
| Company page follow | No | Not listed | Yes, on the contact record |
| New connection accepted | No | No | Yes, on the contact record |
| Engagement across the whole team in one list | No | No | Yes |
How does Teamfluence's HubSpot integration work?
It follows the same 4 steps as the rest of Teamfluence:
- A post is published, a profile is visited. Every LinkedIn engagement on your team's profiles and posts lands in one list.
- The lead is qualified. Each person gets two scores from 1 to 5: one for the person (title, department, seniority) and one for the company (size, sector, location). If the company is on your target account list, the company score is 5 automatically. People who don't qualify wait in a review list, and anyone on your team can promote them.
- It syncs to HubSpot. Qualified people sync automatically. If the contact already exists, we update it. If not, we create it.
- Warm outreach. Every new engagement updates the HubSpot record, so a rep opening the contact sees what the person did on LinkedIn and when, and has a reason to reach out.
Your target account list can come straight from HubSpot, so you don't keep two lists.
Will it create duplicates in HubSpot?
Sometimes. We match a person to a HubSpot contact by email, or by name plus LinkedIn profile URL. If we find a work email for someone and HubSpot has them under a different email, you can end up with two records. Worth one check in the first week after you connect.
Can I push only the LinkedIn engagers who matter?
Yes. Syncing everyone who liked a post fills HubSpot with noise. A recruiter liking your post isn't a lead.
Use a workflow instead: if this, then that. Triggers include a new qualified person, a specific signal (like a profile visit), an engagement score over a threshold, or a match with a target account. Actions include syncing to HubSpot, adding to a specific list or deal stage, tagging, starting a connection campaign, or a Slack message.
A threshold we heard on a call last week: only push people with 3 to 5 engagements. A good place to start.
Does it replace my LinkedIn automation tool or sequencer?
No. Teamfluence finds and qualifies the people who already engage with your team on LinkedIn. Your sequencer, or HubSpot sequences, does the sending. A common setup: qualified person, then a HubSpot list, then a sequence.
FAQ
Do I need Sales Navigator for this? No. The HubSpot Sales Navigator card needs Advanced Plus. Teamfluence's HubSpot integration doesn't use Sales Navigator.
Do I need LinkedIn Premium? [CHECK with Steven before publishing. On the 13 Oct call he said Teamfluence needs Premium for now: without it LinkedIn only shows your last 2 profile visitors. Decide if the post says so.]
Which HubSpot plans does it work with? [CHECK with Valentyn before publishing.]
Do I need to add every team member? No. Start with the people who post or sell. Each one you add brings their LinkedIn engagement into the same list.
Can I see the engagement before it goes to HubSpot? Yes. Everyone lands in Teamfluence first. You choose what syncs.
What about Salesforce? There's a native Salesforce integration too, plus webhooks for Make, Zapier and n8n.
